KLUNGKUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, has once again drawn public attention following the circulation of an explicit video allegedly recorded at the iconic tourist destination.
The video, which has spread on social media, reportedly shows two foreign nationals engaging in indecent acts with the distinctive backdrop of Kelingking Beach.
The footage is believed to have been filmed among bushes on the cliff area overlooking the beach and was later uploaded to a global adult content platform.
Visual elements in the video appear to clearly show the well-known island formation of Kelingking Beach, located in Bungamekar Village, Nusa Penida, strengthening suspicions that the recording took place within the protected tourism area.
As of Saturday (13/12/2025), the eight-minute-and-22-second video had reportedly been viewed more than 77,000 times. Its circulation has sparked widespread criticism and concern, given Kelingking Beach’s status as one of Bali’s most popular and internationally recognized tourist attractions.
Local authorities said they were not yet aware of the video prior to media inquiries. Nusa Penida Subdistrict Head Kadek Yoga Kesuma stated that he would coordinate with police to verify the authenticity and location of the footage.
“I was not aware of the video. I will coordinate with the police to check and confirm the information,” Kadek Yoga Kesuma said when contacted on Saturday.
The incident has raised renewed concerns over inappropriate activities by visitors at major tourist sites in Bali, particularly those that could harm the island’s image and cultural values.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding potential legal action as investigations are expected to follow.
