BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Indonesia AirAsia has announced a new international route connecting Bali and Da Nang, Vietnam, with direct flights scheduled to begin on March 20, 2026. The route will become the airline’s seventh international service operating from its Bali hub.

Acting President Director of Indonesia AirAsia, Captain Achmad Sadikin Abdurachman, said the new direct connection is expected to strengthen tourism connectivity across Southeast Asia and provide travelers with easier access to new destinations from Bali.

“The direct Bali–Da Nang flight is expected to enhance tourism connectivity in Southeast Asia while opening access to new destinations that can now be reached directly from Bali,” Achmad said in an official statement on Wednesday (7/1).

He explained that Indonesia AirAsia’s international network from Bali currently includes routes to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Australia. The expansion to Vietnam is being introduced through the direct Bali–Da Nang service, offering additional travel options for both leisure and transit passengers.

“The launch of the Bali–Da Nang route also strengthens connectivity between Indonesia and Vietnam, including through fly-thru services from Jakarta and Labuan Bajo to Da Nang via Bali,” he added.

The new route is expected to improve access to central Vietnam while also integrating with Indonesia AirAsia’s international network from Bali to Australia, including services to Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne.

According to data from Vietnam’s National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance, international tourist arrivals to Vietnam reached 19.15 million visits between January and November 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of approximately 20.9 percent. Southeast Asia remains a strong source market, with Indonesia recording growth of 13.8 percent as one of the contributing countries.

Meanwhile, data from Indonesia’s Central Statistics Agency shows that foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia totaled 13.9 million visits during the same January–November 2025 period. Visitors from Vietnam accounted for 80,313 of those arrivals.

The Bali–Da Nang service will operate under flight number QZ 480. Flights from Bali are scheduled to depart at 14:15 and arrive in Da Nang at 17:55. The return flight from Da Nang will depart at 18:25 and arrive in Bali at 23:55. The inaugural flight is set for March 20, 2026, with services operating four times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
