BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – AirAsia has officially announced the launch of a new direct flight route connecting Bali and Melbourne, scheduled to begin operations in March 2026. The route will offer a new travel option for Indonesian travelers heading to Australia, while also strengthening air connectivity between two of the Asia-Pacific region’s most popular destinations.

Tickets for the Bali–Melbourne route will be available for booking starting 10 December 2025. The new service is positioned to meet growing travel demand between Indonesia and Australia, with Bali serving as a key international tourism gateway and Melbourne known globally for its arts, culture, and culinary scene.

AirAsia stated that the new route reflects increased passenger interest in affordable and flexible international travel between the two countries. In addition to supporting outbound travel from Indonesia, the service is also expected to encourage more Australian tourists to visit Bali throughout the year.

President Director of AirAsia Indonesia, Veranita Yosephine, said the route is part of the airline’s broader strategy to expand its international network while maintaining accessible fares.

“With seven flights per week, travelers will have more flexibility in planning their journeys according to their needs,” Veranita said on Wednesday, 10 December 2025.
