BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – With the Christmas and New Year holiday season approaching, Badung Police have finalized security preparations by deploying 126 personnel to safeguard public order and traffic flow across the regency.

The operation will focus on 74 identified risk-prone locations, particularly in North Kuta District, which is expected to experience high activity during the holiday period.

The deployment will be supported by joint personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Transportation Agency (Dishub), Satpol PP, and other security elements.

Acting Head of Public Relations at Badung Police, Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, said officers will be stationed at strategic points, including churches, main roads, tourist areas, crowded public spaces, and locations hosting New Year’s Eve celebrations.

“For traffic congestion hotspots, our main focus will be North Kuta, Canggu, Tibubeneng, Berawa, Seminyak, Sunset Road, as well as access routes to beach tourism areas and nightlife centers. The Denpasar–Badung corridor and several major intersections are also under special attention due to high mobility from residents and tourists,” Ayu said on Saturday (13/12).

To reduce congestion, Badung Police and local precincts will implement situational traffic engineering, deploy officers at critical intersections, manage vehicle entry and exit around tourist zones, and strengthen traffic patrols.

Coordination with related agencies and business operators will also be intensified to regulate operating hours and parking arrangements.

In terms of public security, police will increase large-scale patrols, closely monitor alcohol consumption, and apply a persuasive and community-oriented approach to prevent disturbances and potential conflicts.

“We urge residents and visitors to celebrate the New Year in an orderly manner, avoid excessive behavior, and help maintain a safe and conducive environment,” Ayu emphasized.

To support holiday operations, a public service post (posyan) will be established at Mengwi Type A Terminal, while security posts (pospam) will be concentrated in the North Kuta area.

The measures aim to ensure a smooth, safe, and comfortable holiday experience for both locals and tourists during the peak Christmas and New Year travel period.
