BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – The Badung Police have intensified traffic management and public safety measures across northern Badung, focusing on congestion-prone areas during the year-end holiday period through early January 2026.
Police attention is centered on North Kuta, including Canggu and three urban villages in Kerobokan, as well as surrounding corridors such as the Denpasar–Gilimanuk route, Pererenan, and Munggu. These areas routinely experience severe congestion at the end of the year.
Badung Police Chief M Arif Batubara said personnel deployment is being concentrated along main routes leading to Denpasar and North Kuta. “We are focusing personnel on the primary corridors toward Denpasar and North Kuta, including Canggu, Kerobokan, Pererenan, and Munggu,” he said.
A total of 370 joint personnel drawn from the police, military, Badung Regency Government, and other agencies, have been deployed through January 2, 2026. The officers are stationed across two security posts (pospam), four service posts (posyan), and 15 integrated posts to manage traffic surges and support both local residents and international visitors.
“At intersections where traffic is diverted, we place officers specifically to manage flow so congestion can be reduced as much as possible. Eliminating traffic entirely is not realistic,” Batubara added.
Additional personnel have been assigned to Mengwi Terminal to assist travelers using public transportation, aiming to ensure safety and convenience for those arriving in or departing Bali by land.
Alongside traffic measures, police are conducting operations against illegal alcoholic beverages ahead of New Year’s Eve. The enforcement is intended to prevent potential public order and security disturbances linked to unlicensed alcohol consumption during the festivities.
