DENPASAR, DEWATA.NEWS – Heavy rainfall continued across Bali on Tuesday (Feb 24, 2026), with provincial disaster authorities reporting widespread impacts in multiple regions.
As of 18:00 WITA, the Bali Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded 90 locations affected by extreme weather. The incidents include flooding at 51 points, five landslides, one breached embankment, one reported whirlwind event, 27 fallen trees, and four collapsed retaining walls.
Denpasar was the most affected area, with 46 impacted locations, including 39 flood points. In Badung Regency, 12 areas experienced flooding. Fallen trees were reported in Karangasem, Gianyar, Buleleng, Tabanan, Klungkung, and Jembrana regencies.
Head of the Bali Provincial BPBD, I Gede Agung Teja Bhusana Yadnya, confirmed that no fatalities, injuries, or displaced residents were reported.
A total of 350 people were evacuated as a precaution. All have since returned to their respective residences.
“Affected buildings are currently being recorded,” Gede Teja said.
The agency also urged the public not to spread unverified information. Earlier, a video circulated on social media and WhatsApp groups claiming that Tukad Badung had overflowed at levels similar to the major flooding in September 2025.
BPBD clarified that the circulating video was from September 2025 and not related to current conditions. According to the agency, the flow of Tukad Badung in the Pasar Badung and Kumbasari area remained stable on Tuesday.
“The early warning siren was activated at alert level at 09:26 WITA, with an estimated water level of around 120 centimeters above normal,” Gede Teja said.
He advised residents and those active around Pasar Badung and Kumbasari to follow official guidance.
“Let us increase vigilance and preparedness in facing potential disaster threats. Follow official instructions from BPBD and local authorities. Do not spread unclear information,” he added.
Separately, joint Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel evacuated hotel guests in the Jalan Pantai Jerman area on Tuesday starting at 08:00 WITA. Floodwater in that location reached approximately 1.2 meters in height.
SAR teams conducted sweeps and assisted in relocating tourists to safer areas. Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported.
