BANGLI, DEWATA.NEWS – Bangli Police have increased the presence of uniformed officers at several tourist destinations to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for visitors, including routine patrols at Penglipuran Tourism Village on Wednesday (January 14).

Head of the Samapta Unit of Bangli Police, AKP Anak Agung Gede Purwita, said the Samapta unit focuses on preventive duties aimed at maintaining public order and security. According to him, regular patrols at tourist areas are part of broader efforts to strengthen police visibility and engagement with both local communities and visitors.

“Our presence at tourist sites is part of creating a safe and controlled situation,” Purwita said on Wednesday.

He added that visible police patrols are expected to provide reassurance to tourists while also contributing to a positive image of Bangli as a visitor-friendly destination. In addition to improving the sense of security, routine patrols are considered an effective measure to deter criminal activity, particularly theft.

“We hope that consistent police presence in various situations can prevent criminal intent from meeting opportunity, which could otherwise lead to security disturbances,” he said.

Penglipuran Tourism Village is one of Bangli’s most visited attractions, known for its traditional layout and cultural heritage. Local authorities say maintaining security at such destinations is essential to supporting sustainable tourism and visitor confidence in the region.
