BULELENG, DEWATA.NEWS – Police in Buleleng have detained a Belarusian national after he caused a disturbance at a hotel in the Lovina tourism area, northern Bali. The incident involved a foreign guest whose actions were reported by hotel management and later by local residents.

The individual was identified as Pisarenka Pavel, 31, a citizen of Belarus who was staying at the hotel at the time. According to Buleleng Police, the incident took place at a hotel in Anturan Village, Buleleng Regency, on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026, at around 7:20 a.m. WITA.

Buleleng Police spokesperson Yohana Rosalin Diaz said officers from the Lovina Police Post responded after receiving a report from hotel staff regarding a disturbance involving a foreign guest.

“Based on our field handling, the incident began with a report from the hotel about a disturbance caused by a foreign national,” Diaz said on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Police officers went to the location and encountered the man in the Lovina beach area before he returned to the hotel. Following clarification and checks involving hotel management, authorities confirmed there was no damage to hotel facilities and no material loss resulting from the incident.

However, the situation escalated when the individual returned to the hotel in an agitated state. “He spoke in a raised voice and made statements that were considered unsettling by hotel management,” Diaz said.

Police said the man demanded coffee and breakfast and requested an extension of his stay without making payment. While hotel staff provided coffee and breakfast, management declined the request to extend his stay, citing concerns that his behavior could disturb other guests.

After the disturbance continued, officers gave the individual approximately 15 minutes to leave the hotel premises. Shortly after leaving, residents reported him again for causing problems at a nearby food stall, where he allegedly refused to pay for items he had taken.

Police then secured the foreign national and escorted him to Singaraja Immigration Office for further handling. Immigration officials confirmed that his immigration documents were complete.

“If there are indications of a criminal offense, the case can be processed further through legal procedures at Buleleng Police,” Diaz said.

Authorities said coordination between police and immigration officials will continue as they assess whether further legal action is required.
