GIANYAR, DEWATA.NEWS – Police in Blahbatuh have intensified preventive patrols across tourist areas to ensure public safety and visitor comfort, particularly amid increased tourism activity in Gianyar.

The Blahbatuh Police Sector conducted an enhanced routine patrol (KRYD) on Sunday, January 4, 2026, focusing on preventing thuggery, illegal levies, and other public order disturbances that could affect both local residents and visitors.

The patrol was led by Duty Supervising Officer I Wayan Tangkas Suprapta and involved five personnel from multiple units, including Intelligence and Criminal Investigation, Traffic Police, Samapta, and the Provost Unit. Officers carried out direct monitoring at tourist sites while engaging with domestic and foreign visitors.

Gianyar Police Chief Chandra C. Kesuma said the operation reflects the police’s commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly environment for tourism activities.

“We continue to strengthen these preventive measures. If the public encounters any actions that indicate thuggery or other unlawful behavior, they should immediately report it to the police,” he said.

According to the patrol report, officers found no indications of thuggery, illegal fees, or other activities that could disturb visitors. In addition to surveillance, police personnel also provided safety reminders to tourists, encouraging them to remain alert, secure their motorcycles properly, and take care of personal belongings to prevent crime.

“The presence of police officers among the community is expected to provide a sense of security and help maintain Gianyar’s image as a safe and welcoming tourism destination,” Chandra added.

Authorities said regular patrols will continue to ensure that the Blahbatuh area remains safe, orderly, and comfortable for residents and visitors alike.
