BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Police have confirmed the identity of the woman whose body was discovered floating in the waters off Kuta Beach on Tuesday, 2 December 2025. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Rizka Venita Sevtiani, a resident of Wangunsari Village, Sindangkerta, West Bandung, West Java.

Denpasar Police spokesperson Kompol I Ketut Sukadi said the identification was made through fingerprint analysis conducted by the Forensic Laboratory Unit (Labfor) of Bali Police.

“The body found off Kuta Beach has been identified as Rizka Venita Sevtiani,” he stated on Thursday.

The victim’s body is currently being kept at Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital in Denpasar pending further investigation.

Although her identity is now known, the cause of death remains unclear. Police are continuing their investigation to determine what happened prior to Rizka’s death.

As previously reported, her body was discovered by a foreign surfer who spotted it drifting in the waves. At the time, authorities suspected she might have been the victim of a sea accident.

“The discovery involved an unidentified female body believed to be a sea accident victim,” Sukadi said earlier.

Police have not ruled out any possibilities as they work to clarify the circumstances that led to the incident.
