BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the manager of The Nusa Dua, has received two major honors at the Tri Hita Karana Tourism Awards 2026, recognizing its long-term commitment to sustainable tourism development.

The awards, THK Lifetime Achievement and THK-CSR Awards, were presented during the main ceremony held at the Kharisma Ballroom of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Kuta, on Friday evening (January 9).

The Lifetime Achievement Award was granted for ITDC’s consistency in participating in Tri Hita Karana assessments over the past 10 consecutive years, during which the company twice achieved the highest “super platinum” status. Meanwhile, the THK-CSR Award recognized ITDC’s collaboration with organic farming groups to promote sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly tourism practices.

ITDC Director of Commercial & Marketing, Febrina Mediana, said the Lifetime Achievement Award reflects the company’s consistent application of Tri Hita Karana principles across all aspects of destination development and management. She noted that the recognition also highlights ITDC’s ongoing commitment to sustainable and impactful social and environmental responsibility programs.

“This achievement reflects our consistency in applying Tri Hita Karana principles. The award motivates us to further strengthen sustainable and inclusive tourism management, with economic, social, cultural, and environmental balance as our core foundation,” she said in a statement on Sunday (January 11).

Separately, The Nusa Dua General Manager I Made Agus Dwiatmika emphasized that the awards were the result of collective commitment across all stakeholders within the tourism complex. He described the Lifetime Achievement Award as a significant form of external recognition for ITDC’s decade-long consistency.

“For 10 consecutive years, we have been assessed and consistently met the Tri Hita Karana criteria. Receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award confirms external recognition that ITDC continues to uphold these principles,” he explained.

Regarding the THK-CSR Award, Agus Dwiatmika said the program highlighted this year was ITDC’s two-year partnership with organic farmer groups in Kedisan Village, Gianyar. The initiative focuses on mentoring farmers in organic agriculture practices without the use of pesticides or environmentally harmful methods.

“We assist farmers in adopting organic farming methods without pesticides or practices that damage nature. This requires continuous guidance. This year, we are also committed to supporting environmentally friendly rodent control,” he said.

Agus Dwiatmika added that the implementation of Tri Hita Karana principles within ITDC-managed areas has been integrated since the early planning stages of development. One example is land-use management, where approximately 70 percent of the area is maintained as open green space.
