BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Authorities in Badung Regency have ordered the temporary suspension of operations at a nightclub in Pererenan Village after finding that the business had not yet obtained complete operating permits.

Badung Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) confirmed that the establishment, identified as Nectar, was summoned for clarification regarding its licensing status. Following the meeting, officials issued a first warning letter (SP1) instructing the business to temporarily stop operating until the required permits are completed.

“We have already summoned the management. They explained that they are still processing the permits. That means the permits are not yet complete, so we issued a first warning letter to temporarily stop activities,” said Badung Satpol PP head I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara on Thursday (March 12).

During a field inspection, Satpol PP coordinated with the Badung Revenue Agency and the local licensing office. Authorities confirmed that the venue operates as a nightlife entertainment venue, while the ground floor of the building functions as a restaurant.

Suryanegara stated that businesses without proper permits are not allowed to continue operating until administrative requirements are fulfilled.

“If a business does not yet have the required permits, operations must be stopped until the process is completed,” he said.

Management representatives told officials that the venue had only been opened on a trial basis prior to the inspection.

“According to the management, the opening was only for a trial,” Suryanegara added.

Separately, Satpol PP investigator I Wayan Sukanta said authorities planned to formally install a public notice and enforce the suspension on Friday.

“Because the permits are not yet available, we will stop operations and place an official notice. This will be carried out tomorrow,” Sukanta said.

During the clarification meeting attended by the company’s legal team, officials also discovered that the restaurant operating inside the venue had not yet obtained complete permits. The restaurant currently only holds a Business Identification Number (NIB).

“The restaurant also does not yet have complete permits, so it will also be temporarily stopped. At the moment it only has an NIB,” Sukanta confirmed.

The temporary closure will remain in place until the business completes all required licensing procedures with the relevant authorities.
