BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali has improved its global standing in the World Airport Awards 2026, rising to 67th place worldwide, according to the latest rankings released by Skytrax.
The airport moved up five positions from its previous ranking of 72 in 2025, continuing a steady upward trend over recent years. In 2024, Ngurah Rai Airport was ranked 74th globally, highlighting consistent progress in service quality and passenger experience.
The improvement reflects ongoing enhancements at Bali’s main gateway, including facility optimization, better accessibility, and upgraded passenger services. These efforts are part of broader initiatives to strengthen the airport’s competitiveness in the global aviation industry.
The World Airport Awards are among the most recognized benchmarks in the aviation sector, based on surveys of international passengers. Evaluations cover key aspects such as check-in efficiency, security processes, and overall comfort within airport facilities.
Indonesia also saw gains through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, which ranked 22nd globally in 2026, up from 25th the previous year. However, Ngurah Rai Airport remains a critical hub for international tourism, serving as the primary entry point for visitors to Bali.
For international travelers, the improved ranking signals continued upgrades in airport experience, aligning with Bali’s role as a major global tourism destination.
