BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport has launched a series of thematic tourism events in collaboration with the Bali Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD) to enhance visitor experience and promote destinations upon arrival.

The event, held on Friday (April 10), took place in both domestic and international arrival areas, featuring participation from major attractions such as Bali Safari and Marine Park and Trans Studio Bali.

Passengers arriving at the airport were welcomed with interactive activities, including live animal encounters with species such as Moluccan cockatoos and eagles, as well as a mini “Varuna” performance presented by Bali Safari.

A second session in the afternoon featured a cultural dance performance by Trans Studio Bali. Visitors also received promotional vouchers for various tourist destinations across the island.

General Manager of Ngurah Rai Airport, Nugroho Jati, said the initiative reflects a broader effort to strengthen tourism promotion through cross-sector collaboration.

“The airport is not just a transit point, but also a showcase of Bali’s art and cultural uniqueness. Through collaboration with tourism stakeholders, we aim to enrich the passenger experience while strengthening Bali’s appeal,” he said.

The thematic events are scheduled to take place every Friday from April to June 2026, with a variety of rotating attractions designed to highlight Bali’s diverse tourism offerings.

According to Nugroho, the program also aims to support more balanced tourist distribution across the island, encouraging visitors to explore destinations beyond traditional hotspots.

“We are committed to expanding collaboration to deliver a memorable customer experience at Ngurah Rai Airport, while reinforcing its role as a world-class tourism hub integrated with Bali’s destination ecosystem,” he added.

The initiative underscores the airport’s evolving role as an entry gateway that actively contributes to tourism promotion and visitor engagement in Bali.
