BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Traffic conditions along the main routes leading to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Tuban, Badung, remained smooth and under control on Saturday (December 27), despite intermittent rainfall and increased holiday movement ahead of New Year 2026.

As part of the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 security operation, police have deployed 16 traffic officers from the Ngurah Rai Airport Police Traffic Unit to anticipate potential congestion during the peak travel period.

Public Relations Officer of the Ngurah Rai Airport Police, I Gede Suka Artana, said the officers are stationed at the Integrated Command Post located at the airport loading dock area along Jalan Bandara Ngurah Rai.

“At this time, traffic flow along airport routes remains safe, smooth, and conducive. There are no signs of congestion yet. Our traffic officers are on standby at the integrated post to anticipate any increase in vehicle volume during the Christmas and New Year holiday period,” he said.

In addition to traffic police, joint personnel from related agencies are also on duty at the command post. These include members of the Indonesian Air Force, airport security (Avsec), Angkasa Pura, and traditional security officers (pecalang) from Tuban Traditional Village. The teams are working together to provide integrated monitoring, services, and security.

On the ground, traffic management measures include continuous monitoring of vehicle flow, patrols, and traffic regulation at median points if a surge in vehicles occurs. Officers are also actively advising motorists to remain cautious, especially given the unstable weather conditions.

“We urge all road users to stay alert and comply with traffic regulations, particularly during rainy conditions,” Suka Artana emphasized.

Police personnel will remain on standby throughout the holiday period and are prepared to respond quickly to any changes in traffic conditions, as part of efforts to ensure safety and convenience for both residents and travelers during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
