TABANAN, DEWATA.NEWS – As Bali enters the year-end season, Nuanu Creative City in southwest Tabanan is offering an alternative holiday atmosphere far from the crowds of South Bali. Throughout December 2025, the creative destination will host a full month of markets, culinary pop-ups, family activities, and year-end festivals designed to bring warmth, creativity, and community spirit to the holiday season.
Rather than focusing solely on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Nuanu has curated a diverse lineup of experiences that evolve week by week, creating a dynamic and inviting holiday rhythm for visitors.
Below are the key events shaping Nuanu’s December calendar:
1. ProEd Global School Christmas Market, 12 December
The holiday season at Nuanu officially begins with the ProEd Global School Christmas Market, held on 12 December at the Nuanu Campus. Open to the public and free of charge, the event features a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, live music, a bazaar, children’s activities, colouring competitions, raffle prizes, and a variety of food offerings, setting a warm, family-friendly tone for the month.
2. The Christmas Market, 19–30 December
From 19 to 30 December, Nuanu transforms into a vibrant Christmas Market filled with handmade crafts by local artisans and seasonal culinary selections. The setting is lively and intimate, with family-friendly activities spread across the grounds. The market is designed to offer a creative and cozy holiday experience, distinct from Bali’s typical year-end celebrations.
3. Ruang Rasa: Curated Culinary Festival by Food Coma, 26–28 December
Held from 26 to 28 December, Ruang Rasa brings a fresh approach to Bali’s culinary scene. Curated by Food Coma, the festival gathers more than 30 culinary creators, offering everything from contemporary comfort food to innovative reinterpretations of local flavours. Designed as a multi-sensory experience, the festival engages taste, smell, texture, visuals, and sound through food creations, performances, and creative activities.
4. Samana, 29–30 December
Samana, Bali’s largest family festival, will be hosted on 29–30 December. The event focuses on family bonding through play, creativity, and exploration. Children are encouraged to express themselves, while parents and communities gather in a warm, joyful setting. Samana serves as an ideal prelude to New Year’s celebrations for families seeking meaningful holiday moments.
5. PORTAL: New Year’s Eve Music Festival, 31 December
Nuanu concludes the year with PORTAL, an alternative New Year’s Eve music festival combining sound, visuals, and movement. The event highlights local talents alongside global influences, ranging from EDM and bands to visual artists creating immersive stage environments. The countdown moment invites attendees to pause, reflect on 2025, and welcome the new year with renewed intention.
