BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Entrance fees at Nungnung Waterfall, one of the main nature attractions in northern Badung, have increased starting January 1, 2026, following a revision to Badung Regency’s regional regulation on local taxes and retributions.

Located in Pelaga, Nungnung Waterfall is managed by the traditional village of Nungnung and remains a popular destination for both domestic and foreign visitors.

I Gusti Made Suwela, Secretary of the Nungnung Waterfall Tourism Attraction management and Treasurer of Desa Adat Nungnung, said the new ticket prices reflect adjustments under Badung Regional Regulation No. 7 of 2023.

“Previously, entrance fees were Rp10,000 for domestic visitors and Rp20,000 for foreign visitors. Under the new tariff, domestic adults pay Rp15,000 and children Rp10,000, while foreign adults pay Rp30,000 and children Rp20,000,” Suwela said on Friday, January 2, 2026.

According to Suwela, the price increase is accompanied by improvements in visitor facilities and overall service quality. Several upgrades were completed before the new tariffs came into effect to enhance comfort and safety.

Among the most significant improvements are upgrades to the parking area and the addition of rest areas along the walking route to the waterfall. The parking area, which was previously rocky and muddy, has now been asphalted to provide easier access for visitors. A new, purpose-built ticket booth has also been added at the parking area.

“We have also built shaded rest areas with large circular seating. There are three rest stops placed at intervals along the stairway, so visitors can take breaks comfortably while walking up or down,” Suwela explained.

Local managers expect the facility upgrades to improve the overall visitor experience while supporting sustainable tourism management in the area.
