BANGLI, DEWATA.NEWS – Visitors planning a trip to Penglipuran Village are advised to note a new visitor management policy that officially came into effect on Wednesday, January 1, 2026. The traditional village has introduced a structured visit package system aimed at regulating visitor flow while preserving environmental quality, cultural heritage, and community sustainability.

The new system replaces the previous general entry model and applies to both domestic and international tourists. Village authorities say the change is intended to improve the overall visitor experience while ensuring tourism remains responsible and well-managed.

Under the policy, tourists can choose between two visit options: Pelipur Lara Package 1 and Pelipur Lara Package 2, each offering different levels of access and services.

Pelipur Lara Package 1 includes access to the village’s main street, residents’ houses, and the bamboo forest area. Ticket prices are set at IDR 50,000 for adult foreign visitors and IDR 30,000 for foreign children, while domestic visitors are charged IDR 25,000 for adults and IDR 15,000 for children.

Pelipur Lara Package 2 offers a more comprehensive experience, including all areas covered in Package 1 along with the services of a local guide. Prices are set at IDR 125,000 for adult foreign visitors and IDR 100,000 for foreign children, while domestic adult visitors are charged IDR 75,000 and children IDR 50,000.

In addition to ticketing changes, Penglipuran has adjusted its parking fees as part of the new management system. Parking is charged at IDR 10,000 per bus, IDR 5,000 per vehicle for minibuses, sedans, and jeeps, and IDR 2,000 per motorcycle.

Kelian Desa Adat Penglipuran, I Wayan Budiarta, said the new visit package system is designed to maintain Penglipuran’s character while ensuring tourism benefits are distributed fairly and sustainably.

“This policy is not intended to limit visitors, but to ensure visits are more orderly and responsible, benefiting nature, culture, and the local community,” Budiarta said.

Revenue generated from the packages will be managed transparently and allocated to visitor services, cultural preservation programs, environmental maintenance, and the empowerment of local small businesses. Visitors are encouraged to view the new system as part of a shared effort to protect the village’s long-term sustainability.

Tourists planning to visit Penglipuran are advised to consider the available package options in advance and follow local guidelines during their visit.
