BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – The Traffic Unit of Badung Police will implement traffic diversions across the Canggu area in North Kuta on New Year’s Eve to manage congestion during celebrations marking the transition to 2026.
The traffic engineering measures will be enforced at eight key intersections starting at 23:00 WITA on December 31, 2025, according to Badung Police Traffic Head Ni Luh Tiviasih, who spoke during a year-end press conference at Badung Police Headquarters on Monday (December 29, 2025).
“Traffic diversions in the Canggu area will begin at 11:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve,” Tiviasih said, adding that the arrangement is largely similar to last year’s plan.
The eight diversion points include Tibubeneng Field Intersection, Perancak Intersection (north of Atlas), Sri Kahyangan Road Intersection, Atlas Parking Area 1, the southern access near Finns Beach, Subak Sari Intersection, Warung Made Intersection, and Tegal Gundul Intersection.
“We hope the traffic diversions at these intersections for welcoming New Year 2026 will be as effective as last year,” she added.
To support the plan, Badung Police have also prepared designated parking areas in Canggu for New Year’s Eve. Tiviasih said coordination has been carried out with the management of Atlas to provide parking facilities at Atlas Parking Areas 1 and 2.
“The parking areas will be available at Atlas 1 and Atlas 2. We have coordinated this with the owner of Atlas,” she said.
Authorities advised motorists and visitors to plan their travel in advance and follow on-site instructions from officers to ensure smoother traffic flow during the celebrations.
