BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Indonesian airline TransNusa is expanding its flight network starting mid-April 2026, adding new routes and increasing frequencies on several key domestic and international connections, including Bali–Singapore.

The airline will launch a new Jakarta–Lombok route beginning April 17, 2026, with two daily flights to meet rising travel demand to Lombok, which continues to grow as a major tourism destination.

In addition, TransNusa will increase flight frequencies on the Jakarta–Yogyakarta route starting the same date, offering passengers more flexible travel options.

On international routes, the airline will boost services on Jakarta–Singapore from April 17, followed by an increase in Denpasar–Singapore flights effective May 2, 2026.

The additional Bali–Singapore schedule will introduce one more daily round-trip flight. Departures from Denpasar are scheduled at 10:20 WITA, with return flights from Singapore at 14:15 local time.

TransNusa President Director Bayu Sutanto said the expansion is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen air connectivity and support tourism growth across Indonesia.

“We are adding frequencies to provide better travel flexibility while supporting tourism and economic growth in various destinations. Lombok, in particular, has strong potential as a leading tourism destination,” he said in a statement on Monday (March 30, 2026).

The move is expected to improve accessibility for both leisure and business travelers, while enhancing overall travel efficiency.

Data from 2025 shows that I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport handled an average of around 2 million passengers per month, or approximately 66,000 passengers per day, including arrivals and departures.

Jakarta (Cengkareng) remains the busiest route from Bali with 4.23 million passengers annually, followed by Singapore with 2.69 million, Kuala Lumpur with 1.76 million, Surabaya with 1.31 million, and Melbourne with 1.15 million passengers.

The expansion reflects continued demand for regional and international connectivity, particularly between Bali and major travel hubs in Southeast Asia.
