BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Bali is set to host its first-ever World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia Silver title fight as part of an international combat sports event titled “First Blood,” scheduled to take place on Saturday (March 28) at Atlas Super Club in Berawa, Badung.

The event will feature a combination of professional boxing and Muay Thai matches, bringing together fighters from Indonesia and abroad in a series of headline bouts.

The main event will see Indonesia’s Rabowo Surya face Thailand’s Aniwat Ngonsa in an eight-round contest for the WBC Asia Silver Cruiserweight Championship. The matchup is expected to highlight Indonesia’s growing presence in professional boxing at the regional level.

In addition, the WBC Muay Thai Indonesia Lightweight Championship will be contested between Agung Wahyudi and Arsy Ahmad in a five-round bout.

The event also marks a milestone for local representation, with Bali-born fighter Cakti Dwi Putra making his professional debut in the welterweight division in front of a home crowd.

Organized by Garuda Legacy Promotion (GLP), a combat sports promoter established in late 2025, the event represents an early step in developing a structured professional fighting ecosystem in Indonesia.

GLP is led by Vadim Petrov, a boxing promoter from Russia with experience in the European boxing scene. He emphasized the importance of building a more professional system for athlete development in Indonesia.

“Indonesia has many talented athletes. Through GLP, we aim to introduce higher standards in training, health, and athlete management so Indonesian fighters can compete globally,” Petrov said on Friday (March 27).

Bali was selected as the host location due to its status as an international tourism destination, which is expected to help increase global exposure for Indonesia’s combat sports scene.

All matches will be available for live viewing at the venue as well as through Pay-Per-View (PPV) streaming on the Vidio platform.

The event is seen as an initial step in building a sustainable combat sports industry in Indonesia with international standards.
