BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Police are searching for a group of around 10 individuals involved in a violent assault at a commercial area on Jalan Dewi Sri, Kuta, on Tuesday, 9 December 2025.

The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, left several people injured and prompted concerns about public safety ahead of the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

According to information gathered on Wednesday, 10 December, the group attacked people who had arrived at the shop complex, using wooden sticks, punching, and kicking.

“The motive remains unclear. The incident happened during the day on the storefront terrace,” a source said.

CCTV footage from the area captured the attackers beating their victims, with some victims running into nearby shops to seek refuge.

Local community members expressed concern that such violence could negatively impact Bali’s security image during the peak holiday season.

“They must be arrested and processed according to the law. Firm sanctions are needed to create a deterrent effect,” the source added.

Kuta Police Chief Kompol Agus Riwayanto Diputro confirmed the incident.
“The victim has filed a report with Kuta Police. Our officers are currently conducting investigations in the field,” he said.
