BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Flight operations between Bali and three airports in Java resumed early Tuesday (September 8) after AirNav Indonesia issued new Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) confirming the reopening of airspace for operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta, and Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung.
The three airports resumed operations at different times. Soekarno-Hatta reopened at 12:30 a.m. WIB, followed by Halim Perdanakusuma at 12:40 a.m. WIB and Husein Sastranegara at 12:42 a.m. WIB.
The reopening followed the issuance of three AirNav Indonesia NOTAMs: A3395/26 NOTAMR A3387/26, A3396/26 NOTAMR A3386/26, and C1123/26 NOTAMR C1116/26. The notices stated that flight operations could resume after the airspace was deemed safe.
Ngurah Rai International Airport General Manager Nugroho Jati said the reopening was carried out after the safety of the airspace and operational readiness of the three airports had been confirmed.
“We can inform you that starting early Tuesday (September 8), flight operations at Ngurah Rai Airport on the Tangerang, Jakarta, and Bandung routes have resumed normally,” Nugroho Jati said.
Ngurah Rai Airport management also coordinated with airlines and ground-handling providers to confirm aircraft readiness and flight schedules. Of the eight airlines serving the three routes, most had resumed normal operations.
Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, Lion Air, Batik Air, NAM Air, Indonesia AirAsia, and Pelita Air had resumed flights according to their schedules.
Garuda Indonesia also prepared to deploy wide-body aircraft instead of narrow-body aircraft on several flights to Soekarno-Hatta as part of its operational adjustments.
Meanwhile, TransNusa canceled four flights scheduled for Tuesday (September 8). Airport management advised passengers to check their flight status with their respective airlines before traveling to the airport, as schedules may change depending on operational conditions.
“We also urge passengers to coordinate with their airlines to confirm their flight status and schedule before departing for the airport,” Nugroho Jati said.
The airport operator also provides the InJourney Airports Contact Center at 172 for airport-related information.
