BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – FINNS Bali and the John Fawcett Foundation (JFF) have raised enough funds to support 200 eye surgeries during a charity dinner event held at Amalfi Restaurant, FINNS Beach Club, in Bali on Tuesday night, May 12, 2026.
The event, titled Vision for Tomorrow, brought together 107 invited guests, including philanthropists, business leaders, and members of Bali’s wider community. Funds were collected through ticket sales, donations, and a charity auction conducted throughout the evening.
Under the event’s direct-impact fundraising model, each ticket sold automatically funded one vision-restoration surgery for people in need through the John Fawcett Foundation’s humanitarian programs in Indonesia.
During one segment of the dinner, guests were asked to wear blindfolds while eating their appetizers as part of an awareness experience intended to simulate visual impairment.
The evening also included a charity auction featuring dresses donated by supporting fashion brands. The auction generated IDR 25 million in additional fundraising contributions.
“This event is one form of our commitment to supporting the John Fawcett Foundation and the broader mission of making a meaningful contribution to the communities around us. We are very grateful to every guest, partner, and sponsor who made this evening possible,” said Paul Hussey, representing FINNS Bali.
As host and organizing partner, FINNS Bali said it aimed to use its hospitality platform, venue, and business network to support initiatives with direct social impact for local communities.
The John Fawcett Foundation is a humanitarian organization established in 1989 that focuses on restoring vision and preventing blindness across Indonesia. For more than three decades, the foundation has provided free eye care services to lower-income communities regardless of religion, ethnicity, or political background.
The organization operates entirely through donations and partnerships supporting its medical outreach and eye surgery programs.
