DENPASAR, DEWATA.NEWS – The Denpasar Traffic Police (Satlantas Polresta Denpasar) have prepared a traffic management plan to anticipate a surge in vehicles during New Year’s Eve celebrations leading into 2026.

Road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented at several major intersections, particularly in the Kuta area, which is expected to see high activity from both residents and tourists.

Head of Traffic Police at Denpasar Police, Yusuf Dwi Admodjo, said congestion is likely as public and tourist movements increase. “We anticipate traffic density in the Kuta area,” he stated on Tuesday (December 23, 2025).

The traffic engineering measures will be in effect on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. WITA. Authorities noted that the arrangements are situational and may be adjusted based on real-time conditions on the ground.
