TABANAN, DEWATA.NEWS – Management of Tanah Lot has confirmed that operations remain fully prepared to serve visitors despite recent unstable weather conditions, with daily tourist arrivals holding steady at around 3,000 people.
With coastal conditions fluctuating in recent days, Tanah Lot management has prioritized visitor safety while also strengthening alternative attractions within the site. Field personnel, including lifeguards and security officers, have been instructed to increase vigilance in vulnerable coastal areas, particularly along sections exposed to high waves.
Operational monitoring of sea conditions is being carried out intensively, with a situational open-and-close system applied to beach access depending on wave height and weather changes.
Tanah Lot Operational Manager I Wayan Sudiana said visitor safety and comfort remain the top priorities for the destination.
“We see that tourist interest remains high even when weather conditions are less predictable. For that reason, security measures have been strengthened so visitors can continue to enjoy Tanah Lot safely and comfortably,” Sudiana said on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
To reduce reliance on outdoor activities during unfavorable weather, Tanah Lot has also expanded its collaboration with Tanah Lot Bali Museum, also known as the Majapahit Bali Museum. Through this partnership, visitors can access both natural attractions and indoor historical exhibits within the same tourism area using integrated ticketing.
According to Sudiana, the museum provides a relevant indoor alternative, particularly during periods of strong winds or high waves, allowing visitors to remain engaged without depending entirely on outdoor conditions.
“This collaboration adds value for visitors. In addition to enjoying the scenery and temple area, they can also explore Majapahit history. We hope this will encourage longer visit durations at Tanah Lot,” he added.
By reinforcing safety protocols and integrating cultural and educational attractions, Tanah Lot management says it is confident the destination can continue to deliver a secure, well-rounded visitor experience while adapting to changing weather patterns.
