BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Bali Police have arrested three suspects in connection with separate sexual assault cases involving foreign tourists in Badung, following incidents reported between March 24 and 25, 2026.

Director of Criminal Investigation at Bali Police, Kombes Pol. Gede Adhi Mulyawarman, confirmed on Friday (March 27) that the cases involved three victims: two Chinese nationals, identified as RF (22) and Qi (22), and one Australian national, KOB (21).

The suspects, identified as KNB (21), KYP (24), and ABM (29), were arrested in separate operations by regional police units in Badung and Denpasar.

The first case occurred in the Pecatu area, South Kuta, at around 04:30 WITA on Tuesday (March 24). According to police, the victim left a nightlife venue under the influence of alcohol and later found herself being transported by the suspect.

“The victim could not recall whether she booked an online ride or approached a conventional driver,” Adhi explained.

The suspect allegedly took the victim to a secluded roadside area with trees and grass, where the assault occurred. Afterward, the victim asked to be taken back to her accommodation in Berawa, North Kuta. The suspect borrowed her phone under the pretext of navigation before leaving the location.

Police later identified and arrested the suspect during the investigation.

The second case involved another Chinese national at a hotel in the Batu Bolong area, Canggu, North Kuta, early Wednesday (March 25). The victim reportedly encountered a hotel staff member while seeking assistance to access her locked room.

According to police, the suspect offered help but later forced the victim toward another area before carrying out the assault.

“The suspect attempted to open the room but failed, then persuaded the victim to follow him,” Adhi said.

The victim resisted and managed to escape to her room, where she reported the incident. The suspect was later arrested at his workplace by Badung Police.

A third case involving an Australian national occurred at a nightlife venue in Seminyak, Kuta, also on March 24. The victim returned to the venue after realizing personal belongings were left behind and was accompanied by a security staff member.

Police stated that the suspect allegedly committed sexual assault in a restroom area. The victim reported the incident shortly afterward.

Denpasar Police arrested the suspect on Thursday (March 26) in West Denpasar.

Authorities confirmed that all cases are being handled by the respective criminal investigation units.

In response to the recent incidents, police urged both residents and tourists to remain vigilant, particularly during late-night hours.

“Personal safety is a shared responsibility. We need to ensure a safe and comfortable environment, especially in a tourism destination like Bali,” Adhi said.

Police emphasized that investigations are ongoing and that preventive measures will continue to be strengthened to maintain safety for visitors across Bali.
