BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Several international flights departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport have experienced schedule adjustments or cancellations due to airspace closures in a number of countries.
Head of Communication and Legal Division of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia at Ngurah Rai Airport, Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, provided an operational update as of Sunday (March 1) at 11:00 WITA.
“In connection with airspace closures in several countries, we can inform you that a number of flight routes at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport have experienced delays and/or schedule adjustments,” he said.
He emphasized that the situation has not disrupted overall airport operations.
“However, flight operations and airport services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali are generally continuing as normal,” he added.
As of 11:00 WITA on Sunday (March 1), five international flights were recorded as having adjusted schedules. According to airline data, a total of 1,631 passengers were affected by the changes.
Airport management stated that all affected passengers have been handled in accordance with each airline’s respective policies.
InJourney Airports, as the operator of Ngurah Rai International Airport, continues to coordinate closely with airlines to provide updated flight schedules and assist passengers already at the airport.
The airport is also working with AirNav Indonesia to monitor impacted airspace conditions and with security authorities to maintain safety and order within the terminal area.
Passengers are advised to remain in direct contact with their respective airlines for the latest updates regarding flight schedules.
“We urge passengers to continue communicating with their airlines for updated flight information,” Sandi said.
To support travelers, the airport has provided a help desk on the second floor of the International Departure Terminal. Passengers can also contact the airport’s call center at 172 for further flight information.
Airport authorities reiterated that passenger service remains a priority amid the ongoing international flight adjustments.
