BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Several international routes at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport have been affected by airspace closures in a number of countries, resulting in delays and cancellations as of Saturday night.

Head of Communication and Legal Division of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, said that as of February 28 at 21:30 WITA, several international flights had experienced postponements or schedule adjustments.

“In connection with airspace closures in several countries, we can inform you that a number of flight routes at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport have experienced delays and/or schedule adjustments,” he stated.

Despite the disruptions, airport operations overall remain normal.

“However, flight operations and airport services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali are generally continuing as normal,” he added.

Based on data recorded up to 21:00 WITA on Saturday (February 28), Etihad Airways flight EY477 from Denpasar (DPS) to Abu Dhabi (AUH) was listed as postponed.

Two Emirates flights, EK369 and EK399, operating the Denpasar (DPS) to Dubai (DXB) route, were canceled. In addition, Qatar Airways flight QR963 from Denpasar (DPS) to Doha (DOH) was also canceled.

Angkasa Pura Indonesia, operating under InJourney Airports as the airport manager, said it continues to coordinate intensively with airlines to ensure passenger services remain optimal. Coordination focuses on flight schedule updates and handling passengers already at the airport.

The airport is also working closely with AirNav Indonesia to monitor affected airspace conditions, as well as with security authorities to maintain safety and comfort within the airport area.

Passengers are advised to stay in contact with their respective airlines to obtain the latest updates on flight schedules.

To assist travelers, the airport has set up a help desk on the second floor of the International Departure Terminal. Passengers can also contact the airport’s call center at 172 for updated flight information.

Airport management stated that passenger service remains a priority amid ongoing international flight schedule adjustments.
