BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Dozens of passengers gathered at airline offices and help desks inside I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport as uncertainty continues over international flights affected by Middle East airspace closures.
Several passengers were seen visiting the Etihad Airways and Emirates offices on the second floor of the international departure terminal. Others waited in front of the Qatar Airways help desk, seeking confirmation on when they could return home.
The disruption follows escalating tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which have led to airspace closures in parts of the Middle East and caused multiple flight cancellations.
As of Monday, March 2, 2026, at 13:00 WITA, a total of 15 international flights, eight departures and seven arrivals, had been canceled, according to Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Communication and Legal Division Head of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia at Ngurah Rai Airport.
“As of March 2 at 13:00 WITA, there are 15 international route flights consisting of eight departures and seven arrivals that have been canceled,” he said.

- Emirates EK369 (STD 19:50 WITA, Feb 28) – Denpasar (DPS) to Dubai (DXB)
- Etihad Airways EY477 (STD 18:45 WITA, Feb 28) – DPS to Abu Dhabi (AUH)
- Qatar Airways QR963 (STD 20:30 WITA, Feb 28) – DPS to Doha (DOH)
- Qatar Airways QR961 (STD 02:10 WITA, March 1) – DPS to DOH
- Emirates EK399 (STD 00:25 WITA, March 1) – DPS to DXB
- Emirates EK369 (STD 19:50 WITA, March 1) – DPS to DXB
- Etihad Airways EY477 (STD 18:45 WITA, March 1) – DPS to AUH
- Emirates EK399 (STD 00:25 WITA, March 2) – DPS to DXB
Canceled Arrivals:

Airport management emphasized that overall airport operations remain normal and optimal despite the disruptions.
“Flight operations and airport services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport continue to run normally and optimally,” Gede Eka Sandi said.
InJourney Airports, as the airport operator, continues to monitor airspace developments in the Middle East and coordinate closely with airlines, AirNav Indonesia, and security authorities.
Based on airline data, a total of 3,197 departing passengers were affected by schedule adjustments and cancellations. Handling of affected passengers has been conducted according to each airline’s policy.
The airport has also arranged parking stands for five aircraft from three impacted airlines.
Passengers are strongly advised to stay in contact with their respective airlines for the latest schedule updates before heading to the airport. A help desk is available on the second floor of the international departure terminal, and passengers may also contact the airport’s call center at 172 for updated information.
