DENPASAR, DEWATA.NEWS – A tourist transportation van carrying a group of Chinese tourists overturned near the exit gate of the Bali Mandara Toll Road in Denpasar on Friday morning, 5 December 2025. The incident resulted in multiple injuries and triggered an immediate response from police and medical teams.

According to initial reports, the van was exiting the toll road when it suddenly flipped, causing all 13 Chinese tourists, along with the driver and a tour guide, to suffer various injuries.

Denpasar Traffic Police quickly secured the scene and conducted an initial investigation.
“We are currently focused on assisting the victims and processing the crash site. Based on early data, the victims include 13 Chinese tourists, the van driver, and a tour guide,” said Denpasar Traffic Police Chief Commissioner Yusuf Dwi Admodjo.

All injured tourists were transported to two nearby hospitals, Bali Mandara Hospital and Siloam Hospital, for further treatment. Police confirmed that no fatalities occurred.
“None of the victims have died, they remain under medical care,” Commissioner Yusuf added.

The exact cause of the overturning remains under investigation. Officers are examining vehicle conditions and gathering witness statements to determine what led to the crash.

Traffic near the toll exit has since returned to normal after the van was removed. Authorities are coordinating with the travel agency and the Chinese Consulate to ensure proper assistance for the affected tourists.
