BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – A single-vehicle accident caused temporary traffic disruption on the uphill section of Jalan Goa Gong in Jimbaran, South Kuta, on Wednesday evening (April 1, 2026).
The incident occurred at approximately 17:25 WITA, when a Toyota car overturned while traveling uphill. The vehicle partially blocked the road, and spilled oil created additional hazards for passing motorists.
Police responded shortly after receiving a public report through the 110 emergency call center. The initial report was submitted by a local resident who informed authorities about the overturned vehicle on the slope.
Officers from South Kuta Police, led by Traffic Unit officer Iptu Helmi Iskandar, arrived at the scene to manage the situation.
“Upon arrival, officers found a Toyota vehicle with license plate DK 1299 AAD overturned,” said South Kuta Police Chief AKP Muhammad Bhayangkara Putra Sejati on Thursday (April 2, 2026).
Preliminary findings suggest the vehicle lost power while attempting to climb the incline, causing the driver to lose control. The driver sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities also noted the presence of oil spilled onto the road surface, which posed a risk to other road users. Firefighters were deployed to clean the affected area and prevent further accidents.
Vehicle evacuation and road clearing operations continued into the evening, with the situation fully resolved by around 19:00 WITA. Traffic flow in the Goa Gong area returned to normal afterward.
“Our team will continue to respond quickly to public reports to ensure safety and order in the area,” the police chief added.
