BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – An American national identified by initials MAC was taken to hospital after reportedly causing a disturbance at a villa in Pecatu, South Kuta, early Friday morning (May 8, 2026).

Authorities said the woman was allegedly experiencing psychological distress linked to personal family issues involving her former husband.

The incident caused concern among villa security staff after the foreign national reportedly began screaming hysterically and throwing several objects inside the property.

Following reports from local security personnel, officers from Badung Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) assigned to the South Kuta area were dispatched to the location for initial handling.

Upon arrival, officers found the woman outside the villa in an emotional condition, crying and showing signs of severe distress.

Badung Satpol PP Chief I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara said officers suspected the incident was triggered by domestic-related psychological pressure.

“The foreign national was screaming hysterically and was suspected to be experiencing depression related to household problems. She also damaged several of her personal belongings,” Suryanegara explained.

Authorities then carried out a persuasive approach and negotiation process to keep the situation under control.

After being calmed by officers, the woman agreed to be transported to Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital in Denpasar for medical treatment and further observation.

“Once she arrived at the hospital, she was handled in a calm and cooperative manner by the medical team,” Suryanegara said.

The American national is currently still undergoing treatment and further observation at the hospital.

Meanwhile, South Kuta Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP I Made Sena stated that his office had not yet received an official police report regarding the incident.

“I have not yet received any report regarding the incident,” he said.
