BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – A foreign woman drew public attention after a video circulating on social media showed her kneeling in the middle of a road in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, on Thursday (21/5/2026) night.
The incident reportedly occurred on Jalan Tugu Ngurah Rai. In the video, recorded by a bus driver from inside a vehicle, the woman was seen standing in the middle of the street and stopping a passing white car.
Moments later, she appeared to kneel while placing her hands together, prompting concern among people who witnessed the situation online.
Shortly afterward, a foreign man approached from the same direction. He was seen carrying and pulling the woman back toward the roadside while she appeared to resist and scream.
The footage quickly spread across social media platforms, with many users questioning what had happened between the two individuals.
Several commenters expressed concern that the woman may have been asking for help.
“She looks like she was asking for help. Maybe there was some kind of threat from the man,” one social media user commented.
Another user suggested the possibility of domestic violence and urged authorities to investigate the incident.
Others also questioned why no bystanders appeared to intervene or assist the woman during the situation.
As of Friday, Denpasar Police had not issued an official statement regarding the incident involving the two foreign nationals.
Authorities have also not confirmed the identities of those involved or whether any criminal report has been filed.
