BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport has improved its global standing in the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards, rising five positions to rank 67th among the world’s top 100 airports.
The latest result continues a consistent upward trend over the past three years. The airport was ranked 74th in 2024, improved to 72nd in 2025, and has now reached 67th in 2026.
General Manager Nugroho Jati said the achievement reflects collective efforts across all airport stakeholders to enhance service quality and passenger experience.
“This achievement is the result of collaboration and synergy across the entire airport community, all contributing to delivering excellent service. We encourage all stakeholders to continue improving standards to create a memorable customer experience,” he said on Thursday (April 16).
According to management, the ranking improvement follows a series of upgrades implemented since 2024 by InJourney Airports as the operator.
Key improvements include expanded landside access, the addition of a pedestrian bridge connecting the domestic terminal to parking areas, and an increase in trolley availability. Passenger flow has also been optimized through reorganization of departure and arrival areas to improve convenience and efficiency.
“We remain committed to delivering high-quality service through continuous facility improvements and dedicated customer care,” Nugroho added.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are widely regarded as one of the most prestigious recognitions in the global aviation industry. Rankings are based on surveys of millions of passengers from more than 100 countries, evaluating airport services and facilities.
For international travelers, the improved ranking signals ongoing enhancements in Bali’s main gateway, which serves as a key entry point to the island.
