BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Hotel occupancy in Bali’s premium tourism enclave of Nusa Dua remains stable despite ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, according to local tourism authorities.

The area, managed by InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), has continued to record steady and even slightly positive performance in recent months, indicating sustained demand from international travelers.

General Manager of The Nusa Dua, I Made Agus Dwiatmika, said that while flight frequencies to Bali have decreased and ticket prices have risen, visitor numbers to the area have shown a positive trend.

“We have not yet seen April’s full data, but we hope there is no significant impact. Around 80 percent of our guests are international tourists, who are relatively affected, but not as much as domestic travelers,” he said on Friday (April 17).

Year-on-year data shows that visitor numbers in March 2026 increased compared to the same period last year.

Australian tourists remain the largest contributor to arrivals in Nusa Dua, followed by visitors from Russia and China. Meanwhile, arrivals from South Korea are still relatively limited and have not become a major market.

Authorities also hope that domestic tourists who may reconsider traveling abroad due to global conditions will choose Bali as an alternative destination.

Dwiatmika highlighted that Nusa Dua’s appeal lies in its well-planned environment, combining landscaped gardens with preserved Balinese architectural elements.

“Visitors can easily enjoy outdoor activities such as jogging, walking, and accessing integrated open-air shopping areas within the complex,” he explained.

Meanwhile, ITDC Operations Director Troy Warokka said overall occupancy levels remain in good condition. The management is currently implementing a rejuvenation program aimed at enhancing the area’s facilities and long-term attractiveness.

“After a long period without major changes, Nusa Dua is now presenting a fresher and more modern look while maintaining its identity,” he said.

The stable performance of Nusa Dua reflects Bali’s continued resilience as a global tourism destination, even amid external challenges affecting international travel.
