TABANAN, DEWATA.NEWS – Tourist visits to Ulun Danu Beratan, a major attraction in Tabanan Regency, Bali, have increased significantly during the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year holiday period. The rise has been recorded among both domestic and international travelers.

Public relations representative I Made Sukarata said the upward trend began in mid-December 2025 and intensified ahead of the Christmas holidays. “From December 1 to 19, domestic visitor numbers averaged around 400 to 500 people per day,” he said on Sunday (December 28, 2025).

However, between December 20 and 27, daily domestic visits surged sharply to approximately 1,500 to 1,800 people per day. International tourist arrivals have also shown an increase, with an average of around 700 foreign visitors per day during the year-end holiday period.

According to Sukarata, the management expects the elevated visitor numbers to continue into early January 2026, in line with the ongoing Christmas and New Year holiday season. “We predict the increase in visits will continue until January 3, 2026,” he said.

To enhance the visitor experience and add festive appeal, the management of Ulun Danu Beratan has organized a series of cultural activities throughout the holiday period. From December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the site is hosting the Gong Kebyar Cultural Festival, featuring a range of traditional Balinese performances.

The program includes classical Balinese dances such as Kecak and Barong, alongside other traditional art forms. “This festival is intended to enliven the Christmas and New Year holiday atmosphere while introducing Bali’s rich cultural heritage to visitors,” Sukarata explained.

Ulun Danu Beratan, located in the highland area of Tabanan, is one of Bali’s most visited cultural landmarks and a popular stop for tourists traveling through the island’s central region.
