BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – A Ukrainian national identified as AH, 24, was stopped by police for reckless driving in Mengwi, Badung, after being reported for dangerous behavior on a public road.

The incident occurred on Sunday (March 22, 2026) at around 19:00 WITA on Jalan Raya Pantai Cemagi, Desa Cemagi. AH was riding a motorcycle while carrying an Indonesian passenger identified as ARB, 23.

Police action followed a report from another foreign national, an Argentinian identified as JP, 38, who witnessed the incident and alerted authorities. Officers from Mengwi Police, together with the Badung Traffic Unit, responded to the report and located the riders at the scene.

According to police, the pair were found riding in a manner that endangered other road users and disturbed public order. The motorcycle was also fitted with a non-standard exhaust, commonly referred to as a “brong” exhaust.

“Both individuals were issued traffic tickets on the spot, and the motorcycle was secured as evidence. It was then taken to Badung Police for further processing in accordance with applicable regulations,” said Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti on Monday (March 23, 2026).

Authorities stated that the enforcement action reflects ongoing efforts to maintain traffic safety and public order in the Mengwi area.

Police also urged all road users, including foreign visitors, to comply with local traffic regulations and avoid using non-standard vehicle modifications. The public is encouraged to report disturbances or unsafe behavior to help ensure a safe and orderly environment on Bali’s roads.
