BADUNG, DEWATA.NEWS – Authorities in Badung have stepped up coastal patrols along the Munggu to Seseh beach stretch in Mengwi, aiming to reduce the risk of marine accidents and maintain safety in popular tourist areas.

The integrated patrol, conducted on Wednesday morning (April 22, 2026), involved personnel from the Water and Air Police Unit (Satpolairud) and lifeguards (Balawista), covering both shoreline zones and nearby parking areas.

Officers engaged directly with visitors, providing safety briefings and reminding tourists to avoid swimming in hazardous zones marked by red flags.

“Visitors are advised not to swim in dangerous areas and to remain alert to changing sea currents and wave conditions,” officers stated during the patrol.

In addition to water safety, the patrol also focused on general security. Visitors were encouraged to safeguard personal belongings and remain vigilant against potential theft, particularly in parking areas.

Head of the Badung Water and Air Police Unit, AKP I Nyoman Sutanaya, said the patrols are part of routine preventive measures in high-traffic coastal destinations.

“We continue to be present in the community through regular patrols and outreach to raise awareness about safety at sea,” he said.

He added that the presence of officers is intended not only to prevent accidents but also to maintain a safe and orderly environment for both local and international visitors.

Authorities also urged the public to report any suspicious activity or safety concerns encountered along the beach.

“With officers actively monitoring the area, we aim to minimize both marine accidents and criminal activity, ensuring beaches remain safe and welcoming for tourists,” Sutanaya added.
