TABANAN, DEWATA.NEWS – The newly opened Class III Non-Border Immigration Office in Tabanan has recorded strong public demand since beginning operations on April 1, 2026, serving both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals in Bali.
Located in Delod Peken Village, Tabanan District, the office provides various immigration services, including passport applications and foreign stay permit processing.
Head of the Tabanan Immigration Office, Andika Rahadiansyah, said public enthusiasm has remained consistently high, with dozens of applicants visiting the office daily.
“The most requested services are passport applications and stay permit extensions,” Andika said on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
According to him, passport services are currently dominated by applications submitted through Indonesia’s online M-Paspor queue system.
He explained that passport issuance can generally be completed within four working days as long as there are no technical or system disruptions.
“Although registration is conducted online, immigration still provides convenience for priority groups,” he said.
Priority service categories include children under three years old, people with disabilities, children with special needs, and pregnant women.
These applicants are allowed to visit the immigration office directly without prior online registration.
“Priority groups do not need to register beforehand and can come directly to the office,” Andika explained.
Meanwhile, stay permit services for foreign nationals are handled online through Indonesia’s official E-Visa platform.
After submitting applications, foreign applicants receive email notifications instructing them to attend biometric data recording sessions at the immigration office.
Andika also emphasized that Indonesian citizens are not restricted by domicile when applying for new passports.
According to current immigration regulations, applicants can process passport requests at any immigration office across Indonesia regardless of their registered residential address.
The opening of the Tabanan Immigration Office is expected to improve access to immigration services for residents and foreign nationals living in western and central parts of Bali, reducing travel time to larger immigration offices in Denpasar and surrounding areas.
